There is a new initiative here in Ireland. It is a conference specifically geared for the whole family. It is about celebrating our Easter faith with a family-friendly focus in a popular seaside resort. This past Easter, the Arise Catholic Family Holiday conference 2022 took place from April 17th to 20th in Holy Cross National School Tramore, Co.Waterford.
Run as a partnership between the Tine Network and the Diocese of Waterford and Lismore, the four day conference offered families age appropriate faith content, great celebrations of the Eucharist and lots of family focussed fun. The keynote speakers brought faith to life. Gavin and Edith Farley (Austria) spoke about how to make Family a place of blessing, and Fr Frankie Mulgrew (UK) spoke about how to allow God to work miracles in our lives, through the sacraments. For the children and young people there were hour long faith streams while the parents listened to the main talks.The programme was run by a combination of ministries and groups such as Net Ministries, Holy Family Mission, Youth 2000, The 12 Group, Ceili Community and Jesus Youth.
